Zadie has lived in Kalamazoo all her life.  During her work life, she has taught, served as the administrator of a labor, and been a college administrator.  She has served on many non-profit, city advisory boards, and as a Kalamazoo Commissioner.  Zadie is the mother of four, grand-mother of four, and great-grand-mother of four.
